Thanks for your letter and it was great to hear from you. Answering your question, my favourite day is Saturday.
One reason I like Saturday is because I don't have school and I can do things that I can't in school days. I usually meet friends and we have lots of fun doing different activities. I also play video games and draw, which are my favourite hobbies. Now I'm drawing famous characters. My last one is about Darth Vader.
On Saturday I also go to rowing training in the morning which is the best time to row. Sometimes, I also have lunch with my family in a restaurant or we visit places near our town and in the evening, we sometimes watch a film.

The surprise

One day after a big snowfall, me, my sister and my father went skiing into a big forest full of snow. We went there to ski on the "new" snow because it's the best one.

We were having lots of fun when suddenly, my father disappeared and we couldn't find him. We were calling and searching him when we heard a noise that sounded like a branch breaking. We went towards the noise very disappointed and scared to the end of the forest.

Suddenly, we saw a chairlift and a bar when we went out of the forest and my father was waiting there for us. He didn't get lost because he went faster than us and we thought that he got lost. We got a big surprise.

Skiing journey

1st day: I've started my skiing season! I was really enthusiastic about it because I've waited for more than 6 months to go skiing again and this year I'll compete in a higher league so I hope it will be great. I'm very motivated!

2nd day: The first time it was a bit strange because I didn't remember much how to ski, but in a few hours I got adapted and skied like always. I like a lot my group because they're all good friends. When I was going down the downhill, we jumped through a bump and I fell after jumping and finished full os snow.

Last day: It was a great experience to go skiing again! After the skiing day, my legs hurt a bit and I was tired. This experience has made me learn that practising sport with friends is much more fun. After doing exercise you feel better and you also rest better!

My favourit relative:

My favourite relative is my father. He is a very outgoing and talkative person and pretty funny, too. He likes everything he does and he's a very inspiring and motivating person and that's what makes him so special.

I like about him that he shows enthusiasm everywhere and he is hardly ever depressed.

We get on very well because we are a lot of time together and we like the same things.

One day, we went cycling after it rained for 3 consecutive days and we had a great time going through the puddles on our bikes. We finished very wet, but i had a lot of fun!

Last weekend I got up at 8 a.m. on Saturday because I went skiing from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. I trained with my skiing group and at midday it started to snow. When I returned home I did my homework and then I watched TV until dinner time. On Sunday, we returned to Banyoles and I stayed all day home resting and playing video games with friends.

Dear Editor,

I'm writing in response to an article in the other day's issue of your newspaper which said that warmer climate was good news for everybody. I completely disagree with the article and I would like to explain why it is bad to have warmer climate because of global warming.

First of all, global warming is caused by all the gases issued by the cars, machines, planes, factories... And it makes temperature go up. It's very bad for our planet because the poles are melting and the seas are getting a higher level. That's why having warmer climate is not good news.

Secondly, global warming alterates the ecosystems because all the plants and animals are used to a specific climate in every region of the world, therefore if we change the temperature the plants and animals won't be able to live in their zone because it will be too hot for them. Because of this I suggest that we inform people about the global warming and warn them about the consequences of it.

I'm writing this email to complain about the Justin Bieber concert celebrated last weekend in Barcelona which cost 200€. The advertisement said that it will be 3 hours of the best music and free and tasty drinks. Unfortunately what it says is completely wrong.

In the first place, the stage was extremely small and there weren't seats enough for all. We arrived on time but we had no seats available, so we had to stand up for 3 hours. Then, when we decided to have a drink, they only had sparkling water and it said “drinks”.

Secondly, we thought that Justin Bieber was a good pop singer because of the recommendations and publicity, but our ears ended up extremely damaged by that terrible sound, which was really frustrating, because we had payed for good music.

As a result, the concert wasn't as we expected and completely different as it said in the advertisement. I am enclosing this letter and I would appreciate an apology from the organisers and a refund. I look forward to receiving it in a near future.

It is well known that traditional sources of energy are the most common energy sources like the petrol, carbon, firewood, gas... and are very profitable because they produce a lot of energy but they are the difficult to find.

Traditional energy sources are the most used at the moment because they produce a lot of energy. We have been using it since a long time ago an have always been the best energy sources that we use and the people who has a industry of this energy sources normally win a lot of money.

However, everyone knows that this energy sources pollute a lot the environment because when we burn it, they let go harmful gases for the atmosphere and that's a very bad thing about these sources. Furthermore, we are making an excessive use of it which is causing the global warming.

To sum up, although the traditional sources of energy are very profitable and produce a lot of energy, they are very bad for the environment and with the excessive use we make, they let go lots of harmful gases. In my opinion, we should reduce the use of this energy sources.

The best holidays I've ever been on

Writing: THE BEST HOLIDAYS I'VE EVER BEEN ON

The best holidays I've ever been on were last winter in the Dolomities, in Italy. I went with my family by car and we brought all our skiing material.

We visited all the cities and went shopping. We also climbed mountains and visited touristic attractions. The best thing we did was going skiing in an enormous skiing station near the hotel. The food was delicious. We ate raclettes, fondues and very good meat. The hotels and restaurants were so good and we had a very good stay. The holidays lasted 1 week.

These were the best holidays I've ever been on because I was with my family in the best place I've ever been.

Writing: Describing a photo

In this photo I can see a medium front shot showing a herd of wolves on a mountain. The wolf in the foreground is licking his mate maybe to clean him and the wolf in the foreground is looking to the horizon. On the left there’s a dead and gutted animal that was probably hunted and eaten by the wolves. The landscape seems to be very humid and fresh because all the plants are very green and I think it's in the afternoon and it was a cloudy day because the light is quite attenuated but it's not dark.

I love this photo because it shows three gorgeous wolves in their natural habitat eating and helping each other to survive. I also think that they're good with each other and comfortable because they seem carefree. I like the carelessness they show because it inspires calm and harmony to the viewer and the landscape also inspires peace and quiet.

In my opinion, it is a very beautiful photo showing us pure nature and a very good wolves scene after eating that inspires a lot of calmness and it makes you feel like if you were in the middle of a forest.

This photo was taken by Andoni Canela, a photographer and traveller that went around the world with his family taking photos of the animals they saw. He has a son and a little daughter and they lived the incredible experience of traveling around the world and visiting natural animal habitats of many countries.

My trip to Italy

My trip to Italy

The trip started on Monday. We went by bus to Barcelona at 5 am there we took a flight to Milan. When we arrived there we took a bus to Sirmione. We had lunch there and we walked around the city and the lake. Then we went by bus to Verona. In Verona we visited the Arena and Juliette's house and we walked around the gorgeous city.

The next day we went to Venice, the city without cars. There we visited the Ponte Rialto, San Marco's square, the basilica, and a glass workshop. Then I bought Venetian art materials in a very curious shop and we returned to Verona by train.

The following day we packed the bags and we went to Florence by train. We walked all around the city and the day after we visited the Uffizi gallery, Santa Maria del Fiore's cathedral, the baptistery, the Vecchio palace, the ponte Vecchio and the Galleria della Academia which contains “EL DAVID”. It was the most tiring day but the most interesting one and in Florence we also visited the food market where I bought parmiggiano and modena vinegar.

The last day we went to Lucca and walked around it for a few hours and then we went to Pisa. There we visited the cathedral, the baptistery, and we got on the inclined tower. After this we went to the airport were we took the flight to Barcelona and then made a 2 hours travel in a bus to get to Banyoles finally.
